Rob is the drummer with London band, Some Velvet Morning.
He began his professional career in music at LIPA, whose lead patron is Paul McCartney. Under the tuition of session ace Steve Washington and several key masterclasses including McCartney and Beatles producer George Martin, Rob graduated with a BA (Hons) in Music.
Some Velvet Morning, signed a record deal with New York independent, Rhythmbank Entertainment in 2005. The band's debut album, 'Silence Will Kill You' was nominated for XFM Album of the Year 2007 and has sustained healthy radio support from the station, as well as Radio 2 via Janice Long, Alex Lester and Bob Harris.
Rob has toured Russia, France and the States (including their TV debut on Fox's 'Fearless' show) and Thailand with the band in 2008/2009 . Meanwhile he has continued to make himself available for other session opportunities.
Current projects: Some Velvet Morning and Making Money In Music.
Rob has also worked with 22-20s, Steve Booker, Wafah Dufour, Mike Pelanconi, Rik Simpson and Nona Hendryx.
